Traffic Detour in Place for State Route 131 Road Closure and Repair Work

MASSENA – Traffic will be detoured on State Route 131 beginning Monday, April 22, to accommodate a New York Power Authority project to repair and reconstruct the roadway deck area of the Massena Intake in Massena.
 
The Massena Intake Boat Launch and the town’s dog training facility will continue to be open throughout the project. Traffic will be diverted along Town Line Road to the west of the work area and Pontoon Bridge Road to the east, traveling along Maple Street in the village. 
 
The Massena Intake Boat Launch will remain accessible from the west end only. Access to the Town of Massena Dog Training Facility will be open from the east end only. 
 
The reconstruction project and detour is scheduled to last through Dec. 31.
