iSOC: Integrated Smart Operations Center
Groundbreaking Monitoring and Diagnostic Center
Our Integrated Smart Operations Center (iSOC), the cutting-edge comprehensive central command is online. At this state-of-the art facility, located in the Power Authority’s White Plains office, a technological revolution is happening.
- NYPA’s Digital Vision: Becoming the first end-to-end, all-digital public power utility in the U.S.
iSOC uses predictive analytics software to forecast and prevent equipment failures and significant outages at NYPA’s 16 power plants and more than 1,400 circuit miles of transmission lines, giving us the technological edge to predict and remedy with a new level of efficiency. This makes it easier to schedule repairs, lower maintenance expenses and reduce operating risks, helping us to keep costs down, which means savings for our customers.
