NYPA to Hold Informational Meetings on Smart Path - The Planned Rebuild of NYPA's Moses Adirondack Transmission Lines
For Immediate Release: 02/16/18
MEDIA ADVISORY
The New York Power Authority will host informational meetings for the public to provide details about NYPA’s Smart Path, the planned rebuild of the Authority’s Moses-Adirondack transmission lines. These lines, originating in Massena, N.Y. and terminating in Croghan, N.Y. are more than 70 years old and are in need of rebuilding to ensure their continued reliability and to reduce maintenance costs. All community members are welcome to attend any of these sessions. The project supports Governor Andrew M. Cuomo’s Reforming the Energy Vision strategy for building a cleaner, more resilient, and affordable energy system for all New Yorkers.
NYPA staff will discuss the need for the project as well as preliminary design plans and will seek input from the public.
