The Authority defines sustainability as a business approach that balances environmental stewardship, social equity, and economic responsibility.
Four sustainability commitments have been established to guide implementation of our VISION2030 Renewed strategy.
Our 2026-2030 Sustainability Plan supports VISION2030 Renewed and sets a clear path for continuing to embed sustainability into our operations.
Each year, we issue a report that describes the progress NYPA makes towards achieving the priorities set by our strategic vision and the goals outlined in our Sustainability Plan.
The 2025 Integrated Report brings together our most recent sustainability and financial information to provide a comprehensive view of our performance and accomplishments. The report explores the value NYPA creates for the state, its customers, local communities, and employees through a wide range of activities and relationships.
“For nearly a century, the New York Power Authority has stood as one of the great public institutions in our state, built on ingenuity, service and a deep commitment to the people of New York. Today, that commitment is expressed through sustainability as the way we do business. NYPA embeds sustainability into its processes and decision-making because the energy future New Yorkers deserve requires nothing less.” - NYPA President and CEO Justin E. Driscoll
