NYS Small Business:
NYPA will identify if your firm may be considered a NYS small business with an owner that is a resident of New York State, independently owned and operated, with 300 or fewer employees, and not dominant in its field. Contact NYPA's Supplier Relationship Management at SRM@nypa.gov for additional information.
Before You Get Started
- Learn about current NYPA and Canals advertised procurements posted on the NYS Contract Reporter (nyscr.ny.gov) and/or on nypa.gov/procurement.
- Send your firm’s capability statement or request a Supplier Capability Meeting by emailing SRM@nypa.gov to present your firm to our Supplier Diversity team and key stakeholders.
- Meet us at our outreach events to learn more about upcoming projects. Visit nypa.gov/supplierdiversity for upcoming events.
- If applicable, obtain NYS MWBE and/or SDVOB certifications, and grow your capacity through our business development programs.
Register, Access and Compete:
- Register on NYPA’s e-procurement system to be invited to compete on projects or express interest in a specific opportunity.
- If you are interested in a specific opportunity and would like to access the solicitation documents, contact NYPARFQ@nypa.gov to be invited to the “Bid Event” in NYPA’s e-Procurement platform.
- Contact your local APEX Accelerators (www.apexaccelerators.us/) or NYS Empire State Development's Entrepreneurship Assistance Centers (esd.ny.gov/entrepreneurship-assistance-centers) for free assistance with technical assistance to respond to NYPA and Canals solicitations.
- Consider NYS Empire State Development – NYS Contractor Financing Program for working capital needs.
- Not considered for an award? Request a debrief directly with the Designated Contact Person through the Ariba platform and include SRM@nypa.gov and Supplier.Diversity@nypa.gov.
Perform on the Contract and Get Paid:
- Perform on the contract. Communicate often and early with the program manager. For any questions or concerns, email Supplier.Diversity@nypa.gov. Confirm registration for ACH Payments by emailing SRM@nypa.gov. Otherwise, you will be paid via paper check.
- Review AP remittance information on contract and purchase order documents. For assistance contact APInquiry@nypa.gov.
