The New York Power Authority’s commitment to a clean energy future will spur technological innovation and economic growth that will benefit all New Yorkers. Propel NY, a collaboration with New York Transco, was selected by NYISO (New York Independent System Operator) to develop an innovative electric transmission solution to strengthen the backbone of the electric grid on Long Island, in New York City, and across Westchester County. These improvements will increase transmission capacity to deliver more wind-generated energy into the statewide electric grid.
