NYPA to Host Holiday Pajamas Party at Hawkins Point Visitors Center Thursday, Dec. 22, 4-7 p.m.

MASSENA--The New York Power Authority is accepting reservations for its holiday pajamas party on Friday at the St. Lawrence-Franklin D. Roosevelt Power Project’s Frank S. McCullough, Jr. Hawkins Point Visitors Center.

The holiday pajamas movie party will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 22. The party will feature movies, craft projects as well as a visit from Santa Claus. Movies will be shown in the visitor center theater.

Reservations can be made by calling 315-764-6679. All children who are preregistered will receive a special holiday memento. Reservations may also be made by emailing John.Lashomb@NYPA.gov.

Along with enjoying the movies, visitors can sample the array of hands-on exhibits at the Hawkins Point facility, which presents information on such themes as water power and the St. Lawrence-FDR project, basics of electricity and uses of electricity. Another highlight is the panoramic view of the project’s power dam from Hawkins Point.
