N.Y. Power Authority Hawkins Point Visitors Center to Host Annual Wildlife Festival Saturday, Sept. 24

MASSENA – The New York Power Authority (NYPA) will hold its annual Wildlife Festival Saturday, Sept. 24, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at NYPA’s Frank S. McCullough Jr. Hawkins Point Visitors Center in Massena.

The admission-free event will feature fun for the entire family with exhibits of live animals, nature displays, arts, crafts and entertainment.

The World of Wildlife and Educational Encounters (WOWEE) will be bringing a variety of exotic and endangered animals, and volunteers will be on hand to answer questions.

Representatives from the Nicandri Nature Center and Reptiles Forever will be back at the Wildlife Festival as well as the Mad Science Academy, the Thompson Park Zoo and many others. There will be a petting zoo with farm animals, chainsaw carvings, craft projects, wagon rides, and birds of prey on display.
