N. Y. Power Authority Visitors Center Hosts STEM Activities for Kids
Tuesdays in August
MASSENA – The New York Power Authority will be featuring STEM activities for kids to exercise their hands and minds on Tuesdays in August.
The free activities will be available from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on a drop-in basis. Participants are encouraged to preregister for the activity by calling (315) 764-6679.
Aug. 9 – Rocket Science – Participants will build model rockets while exploring the science of rocketry. The children will use creative problem-solving skills as they take on the role of NASA engineers and play a fun, educational game illustrating the four forces of flight.
Aug. 16 – Slime Time – Participants will ooze into a gooey hour of sliming around to create slime using a secret recipe before entering the Slime Olympics!

The Hawkins Point Visitors Center is now operating on summer hours: Open 7 days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
