Event: The New York State Canal Corporation, through its “On the Canals” excursions program, is offering free STEAM workshops for children 11 – 15 years old at the NY Energy Zone in Utica.
Led by STEAM author and educator Kathy Ceceri, participants will find out how solar energy works, and make their own Solar WobbleBot from ordinary household and recycled materials.
Participants are encouraged to arrive early and take a free tour of the John S. Dyson New York Energy Zone – it’s powerful fun for kids of all ages! Average tour time is 90 minutes.
