NORTH BLENHEIM—The New York Power Authority (NYPA) today announced the reopening of its Blenheim-Gilboa visitors center beginning this Friday, Feb. 18. Visitors are encouraged to follow their own comfort levels with respect to masks and social distancing, however, consistent with New York State guidelines mask wearing is no longer required in this indoor setting.
The Power Authority is looking forward to resuming its popular free events for the public this summer. The first scheduled event will be the Hoppy Easter Party and photos with the Easter Bunny on Saturday, April 2, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
During the pandemic, the Power Authority added additional safety precautions, including state-of-the-art indoor air filtration systems and additional cleanings that will remain in place.
Visitors should check the Power Authority website for additional upcoming events. Group tours are encouraged to use the on-line reservation system or call 1-800-724-0309 for further information. Walk-in visitors are welcome.
The Blenheim-Gilboa visitors center complex, located at 1378 State Route 30, will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
