MASSENA – The New York Power Authority (NYPA) will hold its annual Wildlife Festival Saturday, Sept. 25 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Frank S. McCullough Jr. Hawkins Point Visitors Center in Massena.
The admission-free event will feature fun for the entire family with exhibits of live animals, nature displays, arts, crafts and entertainment.
The World of Wildlife and Educational Encounters (WOWEE) will be bringing a variety of exotic and endangered animals. WOWEE volunteers will provide two educational shows and be on hand to answer questions.
Representatives from the Nicandri Nature Center and Reptiles Forever will be back at the Wildlife Festival. There will be a petting zoo with farm animals, craft projects, wagon rides, and birds of prey on display.
Due to dynamic health and safety concerns of COVID-19 events may change or be canceled on very short notice.
All visitors are required to wear masks outdoors regardless of vaccination status, except for children under the age of 2. Port-a-Potties and outdoor handwashing stations will be available.
