FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NORTH BLENHEIM—Get a photo with the Easter Bunny and a chance to win prizes by finding the lucky eggs! It’s all part of the New York Power Authority’s Blenheim-Gilboa Visitors Center Easter event on Sunday, April 17, from noon to 2 p.m.

The event will also feature “Melvin the Magnificent,” a balloon artist who will demonstrate how to make various animals, hats and other fun shapes with balloons.

Guests are also invited to enjoy the admission-free visitors center’s attractions, which include hands-
on exhibits for students of all ages and abilities. Visitors can learn how the Blenheim-Gilboa Pumped Storage Power Project acts like a giant battery, generating hydroelectricity by recycling water between two huge reservoirs. Other displays demonstrate the basics of electricity, energy production and conservation.

The Blenheim-Gilboa Visitors Center is located on Route 30, five miles north of Grand Gorge, 17 miles south of Middleburgh and 50 miles southwest of Albany. School groups and community organizations are welcome. For more information, visit www.nypa.gov
