October 1-31: Energy Awareness Month at B-G

In honor of Energy Awareness Month NYPA is featuring a month-long drawing contest where children can showcase their energy awareness.

  • Children from ages K-6 are invited to draw, with the theme being "what energy awareness means to them"

Submitted drawings will then be posted at the B-G Visitors Center where visitors may vote on their favorite drawing. The drawing with the most vote wins and participants will receive prizes!

Visitors can enjoy a wide array of hands-on displays and energy exhibits at the admission-free visitors center which presents information on the basics of electricity, uses of electricity and the operation of New York’s largest pump-storage hydroelectric power project. Parking and Admission are free. For more information call the Visitor Center at 1-(800) 724-0309.
