NYPA Hosts Spring Break Movie Days

MASSENA - The New York Power Authority’s Frank S. McCullough, Jr. Hawkins Point Visitors Center will be showing free family-friendly movies during the upcoming spring break, April 13 through April 17.

Movies will be shown at 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. in the visitors center theater. Movies and show times follow:

Monday, April 13:        “Cars” at 10 a.m., “The Tale of Despereaux” at 1 p.m. and “Cinderella” at 3 p.m.

Tuesday, April 14:        “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” at 10 a.m., “Beverly Hills Chihuahua” at 1 p.m. and “Annie” at 3 p.m.

Wednesday, April 15:   “Pinocchio” at 10 a.m., “Bolt” at 1 p.m. and “Secondhand Lions” at 3 p.m.

Thursday, April 16:       “Open Season 2” at 10 a.m., “Bedtime Stories” at 1 p.m. and “Escape to Witch Mountain” at 3 p.m.

Friday, April 17:           “The Indian in the Cupboard” at 10 a.m., “Dreamer” at 1 p.m. and “Sleeping Beauty” at 3 p.m.

In addition to the free movies, visitors can enjoy the array of hands-on exhibits at the admission-free Hawkins Point facility, which presents information on such themes as water power and the St. Lawrence-FDR project, basics of electricity and uses of electricity. Another highlight is the panoramic view of the project’s power dam from Hawkins Point. The visitors center is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday except certain holidays.
