Glacial Energy

Available to customers in the Con Ed, National Grid (formerly Niagara Mohawk) and LIPA service territories.

Glacial Energy is pleased to participate in the Power for Schools Program.  Glacial Energy (www.glacialenergy.com) is an ESCO serving Customers in New York State, and will soon be expanding into several other areas.  Customers like the flexibility they can get from Glacial Energy, as our products include Indexed, Indexed with Fixed Adder, and Fixed pricing.  Longer term agreements are available, and may include unique language allowing for product flexibility.  We are a customer satisfaction based organization, without the trappings of other businesses to distract us from providing the best that any ESCO can offer.  Our consultative approach with clients will allow you to fully understand the market, pricing, and savings opportunity, so that an educated decision can be made to suit your needs.  We can be reached via email at sales@glacialenergy.com, or by phone at 877-569-2841.

Glacial Energy of New York features three competitive products for our customers:

  1. Indexed Product – Wholesale cost of power plus pass-through surcharges and mark-up.  This is a highly competitive product, with varying discounts based on volume and load profile, but clients typically save 5% to 15% versus the utility.  Offered with terms of 1 to 5 years, commitments of longer than one year come with ability to convert to other products.

  2. Indexed with Fixed Adder – Wholesale cost of power plus a fixed component covering all additional costs.  Offered with terms of 1 to 5 years, commitments of longer than one year come with ability to convert to other products.

  3. Fixed Rate – Fixed pricing, offered as “all in” or “energy only”, for terms of 1 to 5 years.

None of Glacial Energy’s products have a limit as to the number of megawatts we will provide, nor do we have an issue with handling customers with extensive account numbers.  Glacial Energy plans on serving all NYISO zones, with current approvals in Con Ed, Niagara Mohawk, and LIPA territories.

Glacial Energy uses multiple sources for our power; however, none are specifically Green sources.

Please get in touch directly with these companies regarding power supply.

In the meantime, if you have questions about this program, you can reach us at PowerToSchools@nypa.gov.
