Project Schedule and Preliminary Cost Estimate

The current project schedule will begin with the draft EIS (Environmental Impact Statement) submittal in summer 2005. After a public/agency comment period in the early Fall, the EIS is expected to be finalized by January 2006. Project construction is scheduled to begin the following October and the operation should begin by September 2008. The preliminary cost estimate of both the new line (about $16 million) and the installation of two Static Var Compensators (about $13 million) is about $29 million.
