Criteria for Locating the New Line

Several steps must be taken first in an effort to establish the location of the new line. The criteria for such a location coincides with several guidelines: available points of interconnection, attempts to utilize existing utility rights-of-way and roads, compatibility with Adirondack Park Agency land use classifications, a minimization of impact on residence and visual resources along with consideration for possible impacts on flora and fauna (and their habitats), evaluation of potential cultural resources, and a consideration of costs and engineering constraints.
