Breaking ground

Ground was broken at the Reservoir State Park in Niagara County celebrating the nearly $6 million in major refurbishments to be undertaken at the 133-acre recreational site. Joining in the event from left to right are: Shelly Weinreb, New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historical Preservation; Richard M. Kessel, president and chief executive officer, NYPA; Patrick Curley, NYPA trustee; Senator George Maziarz; William Ross, chairman of the Niagara County Legislature; Steve Richards, supervisor, Town of Niagara; Steve Reiter, supervisor, Town of Lewiston; and George Churakos from Mark Cerrone Construction, which was awarded a two-year contract to carry out the extensive work.
