New York Power Authority Signs Final Agreement for Buffalo's Canal Side Project

New York Power Authority's (NYPA) President and CEO Richard M. Kessel (third from right) signs the final agreement committing NYPA's support for $105 million in bonds to help launch major initiatives for recreational and community development in Buffalo's Inner Harbor. Also participating in the event, considered the cornerstone of Governor's Paterson's efforts to revitalize Western New York's economy, are (from left) Erie County Executive Chris Collins, Bufallo City Mayor Byron Brown, Erie Canal Harbor Development Corporation (ECHDC) Chairman Jordan Levy, Congressman Brian Higgins, Erie County Legislator Tim Kennedy, NYPA Trustee Patrick Curely and ECHDC President Thomas Dee.
