Completion of B-G Life Extension and Modernizaton Program

Richard Kessel, president and CEO, NYPA, announces that the multi-year Blenheim-Gilboa Pumped Storage Power Project LEM project has been successfully completed. The New York Power Authority’s (NYPA) completion of a Life Extension and Modernization Program at its Blenheim-Gilboa Pumped-Storage Power Project in Schoharie County enhances the hydroelectric facility’s contributions to the state’s electric power system. NYPA President Richard M. Kessel and other state and area officials joined together on June 10 at an event marking the completion of the multiyear project upgrade.
