Media Advisory and Photo Opportunity: New York Power Authority to announce Awarding of Multi-Million Dollar Contracts with Western New york Firms

New York Power Authority (NYPA) President and Chief Executive Officer Richard M. Kessel will make an announcement about NYPA’s commitment to supporting the Western New York economy, underscored by the recent award of two multi-million dollar contracts with local companies to undertake critical projects for the Authority.

One contract advances the new Ice Boom storage facility and park currently under construction and the other contract involves a critical upgrade to the switchyard at the Niagara Power Project to ensure the integrity of the NYPA transmission system in the region.
Joining Mr. Kessel will be Bill Bauer, president of Ed Bauer Construction of Blasdell and Angelo Veanes, president of Ferguson Electric Company of Buffalo.
