March 3, 2010

New York Power Authority (NYPA) President and Chief Executive Officer Richard M. Kessel will present a ceremonial check on Thursday to the St. Lawrence Local Government Task Force reflecting a supplemental payment for the host communities that partnered with NYPA on the relicensing of the St. Lawrence-Franklin D. Roosevelt Power Project.  The payment will be in addition to NYPA’s annual contribution of $2 million for those communities and is tied to above-average water flows last year at the hydroelectric project.
