Media Advisory and Photo Opportunity: NYPA President and CEO Kessel To Present Ceremonial Check For Greenway Ecological Projects

New York Power Authority (NYPA) President and Chief Executive Officer Richard M. Kessel will be joined Wednesday by officials from the Buffalo Niagara Riverkeeper and other environmental group representatives at a ceremonial check presentation at the Tifft Nature Preserve in South Buffalo. The event will mark NYPA’s latest funding of ecological projects in support of the Niagara River Greenway in connection with commitments made during the relicensing of the Niagara Power Project.

Directions to Tifft Nature Preserve:

From downtown and northern sections of the city, take the first exit after the skyway and continue south to the Tifft entrance.  Turn left and continue through the underpass to the parking lot.  Alternatively, from the north, take the Tifft Street exit off Route 5 and immediately make a U-turn heading north on Fuhrmann Blvd. to the Tifft entrance.   Turn right and continue through the underpass to the parking lot.
