New York Power Authority (NYPA) President and Chief Executive Officer Richard M. Kessel will hold a news conference to announce a call for proposals to develop wind power projects in the Great Lakes off New York State shores to help expand the use of alternative energy, spur job growth and encourage manufacturing opportunities for the wind power industry.

Joining them at the event will be Robert Barker, the director of the Genesee Region Clean Communities program, a U. S. Department of Energy sponsored program, designed to encourage the use of alternative fuel vehicles.
