Kessel to Deliver Keynote at US-Israel Cleantech Conference, Monday,

New York Power Authority (NYPA) President and Chief
Executive Officer Richard M. Kessel will deliver the keynote remarks
Monday, Sept. 14, at 12:30 p.m.in Lower Manhattan at a forum for
building stronger relationships between the U.S. and Israel in
advancing job-producing, clean-energy technologies.
NYPA and the New York Academy of Sciences are
co-sponsoring the first day of the three-day U.S.-Israel Cleantech
Conference, which is intended to share knowledge and experiences in
pioneering applications involving solar and wind power, “smart-grid”
solutions, energy efficiency and other clean-energy technologies.
The conference begins at 8:30 a.m. Monday with
remarks by two ranking Israeli officials: Yair Shiran, economic
minister to North America, and Benjamin Ben-Eliezer, minister of
industry, trade and labor, and by Sam Natapoff, senior advisor to
Gov. David A. Paterson on international commerce.
(On Tuesday and Wednesday, the conference will be
held at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and at the
Meadowlands Environment Center in Lyndhurst, N.J., respectively.)
