Region Envirothon Set for NYPA Visitors Center

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
In celebration of Earth Day, the New York Power
Authority’s Blenheim-Gilboa Pumped Storage Power Project Visitors
Center will host this year's Capital Region Envirothon on Thursday,
April 23, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. An awards presentation will be held
at 12:30 p.m.
Approximately 20 high school teams, representing
Schoharie, Albany and Schenectady counties, will take part in the
competition that tests students’ knowledge of aquatics, soil,
forestry and wildlife.
Schools must pre-register, but admission is free
for spectators. There will be ample opportunity for photos.
