MASSENA – The New York Power Authority (NYPA) will begin the installation of docks and buoys along the St. Lawrence River in the vicinity of its St. Lawrence-Franklin D. Roosevelt Power Project the week of April 20.

Boat docks will be installed at the Frank S. McCullough, Jr. Hawkins Point Visitors Center and Boat Launch the week of April 20.  Depending on river conditions, docks will also be installed at the Massena Intake along with Whittaker Park and Howard Park in Waddington during the week of April 20.

Once the docks are installed in Massena and Waddington, NYPA crews will install buoys by the Visitors Center and South Channel in Massena, and the Old Milk Factory in Waddington. Installation of the buoys is scheduled to begin the week of April 27.

All the docks and buoys are scheduled to be removed in October. NYPA will notify the public prior to removal.
