Media Advisory and Photo Opportunity: Nypa President to Tour Ongoing Beach Improvements at Robert Moses State Park

New York Power Authority President Richard M. Kessel will take a walking tour and receive an informal briefing on the status of the improvements, resulting from the 2003 relicensing of NYPA’s St. Lawrence-FDR Power Project, to beach area buildings and several outdoor areas as work nears completion.   He will be joined by representatives from New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation who are supervising the work. 

Several active construction projects will be in operation along the waterfront and beach area.

DATE:    Monday, March 30, 2009  

TIME:     1 p.m.  (Rain or shine) 

PLACE: Robert Moses State Park

 DIRECTIONS:     •Take your first left after crossing the Barnhart Island Bridge and then your first right.

                           •Proceed past the unstaffed tollbooth to the buildings at the end of the road.  

                           •As you look at the complex, please go to the middle building, which will be the new Camper Registration building, where we will meet.
