Power Authority to Mark Arrival of Hybrid Truck

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
New York Power Authority (NYPA) President and Chief
Executive Officer Richard M. Kessel will be joined by Mayor
Frederick May of the Village of Fairport at the Fairport Electric
District building to activate a hybrid-electric bucket truck. The
truck will join six other vehicles to create the largest municipal
utility hybrid electric vehicle fleet in New York State.
Joining them at the event will be Robert Barker,
the director of the Genesee Region Clean Communities program, a U.
S. Department of Energy sponsored program, designed to encourage the
use of alternative fuel vehicles.
