New York Power Authority Hosts
Holiday Pajama Party

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
MASSENA—The New York Power Authority is accepting
reservations for its holiday pajama and movie party at the St.
Lawrence-Franklin D. Roosevelt Power Project’s admission-free Frank
S. McCullough, Jr. Hawkins Point Visitors Center.
The holiday party will be held from 6 p.m. to 8
p.m. Friday, Dec. 19, at the visitors center.
Children are encouraged to come in their pajamas
and snuggle down to watch short, animated holiday movies including
“How the Grinch Stole Christmas!” (1966), “Rudolph, the Red-Nosed
Reindeer” (1964), “Frosty the Snowman” (1969), “Santa Claus Is Comin’
to Town” (1970) and “A Charlie Brown Christmas” (1965). Movies will
be shown in the visitors center theater. The pajama party will also
feature a visit from Santa Claus and a holiday craft project.
Registration for the event can be made by calling
315-764-0226, ext. 302. All children who are preregistered will
receive a special holiday memento.
In
addition to the movies, visitors can sample the array of hands-on
exhibits at the Hawkins Point facility, which presents information
on such themes as water power and the St. Lawrence-FDR project,
basics of electricity and uses of electricity. Another highlight is
the panoramic view of the project’s power dam from Hawkins Point.
