FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
New York Power Authority (NYPA) President and Chief
Executive Officer Richard M. Kessel will be joined by Solvay Mayor
Tony Modafferi on Wednesday to officially launch the “Weatherization
Blitz” program in Central New York and the Mohawk Valley, an
energy-saving program for low-income households served by municipal
and rural electric cooperative systems in the state.
The news conference on the Power Authority’s
Weatherization Blitz program—part of a statewide effort for lowering
home-heating costs for financially struggling New Yorkers—will mark
Mr. Kessel’s first press briefing in Central New York since joining
NYPA in October.
