New York Power Authority Set to Host Halloween Event

LEWISTON—The New York Power Authority (NYPA) will play host to its annual Halloween “Spooktacular” on Saturday, Oct. 25, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Power Vista, the admission-free visitors center at the Niagara Power Project.

The “Spooktacular” features spooky games courtesy of the Niagara Police Athletic League, a haunted house courtesy of the Lockport YMCA, movies, storytelling and a children’s contest for best costumes. The costume contest will be held from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Come early for more special Halloween treats. Parking is free for the event.

The Niagara Power Project Power Vista is located on 5777 Lewiston Road in Lewiston.  It features displays and interactive exhibits relating to the production of electricity, energy efficiency and the area’s history, as well as spectacular views from the observation deck, 350 feet above the Niagara River Gorge.
