Host Halloween Party, Oct. 25

MASSENA—The New York Power Authority will play host
to a “Spooktacular” Halloween Party at the admission-free Frank S.
McCullough, Jr. Hawkins Point Visitors Center and Boat Launch at the
St. Lawrence-Franklin D. Roosevelt Power Project on Saturday, Oct.
25, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Events include pumpkin and face painting, games,
movies and goodie bags for all children in costume. Members of the
varsity girl’s soccer team at Massena Central High School have
volunteered to assist in activities.
During the Halloween Party, guests will be able to
view the wide array of interactive exhibits at the visitors center
on the themes of water power and the St. Lawrence facility, basics
of electricity and uses of electricity. Children and adults will
enjoy being able to touch, see and listen to the many interactive
models on display.
Visitors are also able to enjoy the panoramic views
of the power dam from Hawkins Point.
Directions from Massena: take State Route 37 east
to Route 131 (across from St. Lawrence Centre Mall), turn left and
proceed through the Eisenhower Lock tunnel. Then take the second
right onto Robinson Bay Road and continue for two miles. Turn left
onto Hawkins Point Road and follow the entrance road to the visitors
center.
