Media Advisory and Photo Opportunity: NYPA Invites Community to Celebrate 50th Anniversary of St. Lawrence Project June 20, 2008 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE The New York Power Authority (NYPA) invites the public to celebrate the 50th anniversary of its St. Lawrence-Franklin D. Roosevelt Power Project for an event at 7 p.m., on June 24, outside the project’s admission-free visitors center at Hawkins Point. The program will feature free ice cream and music from Northern Symphonic Winds, followed by fireworks after nightfall.
