Capital Region Envirothon Set For
NYPA Visitors Center

In celebration of
Earth Day, the New York Power Authority’s Blenheim-Gilboa Pumped
Storage Power Project visitors center will host this year's Capital
Region Envirothon on Thursday, April 24, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Approximately 20 high
school teams, representing Schoharie, Albany and Schenectady
counties, will take part in the competition that tests students’
knowledge of aquatics, soil, forestry, wildlife, sustainability and
alternative energy.
Schools must
pre-register, but admission is free for spectators. There will be
ample opportunity for photos.
