FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NORTH BLENHEIM—The free cross-country ski trails at
the New York Power Authority’s (NYPA) Blenheim-Gilboa Pumped Storage
Power Project have become an increasingly popular attraction because
of the recent cold weather and snow.
The trails, which link the project’s admission-free
visitors center with Mine Kill State Park, will be open daily from
dawn to dusk as long as the snow remains. Free snowshoe rentals are
available at the visitors center to people showing valid
identification.
The
visitors center is located on Route 30, 17 miles south of
Middleburgh and five miles north of Grand Gorge. For more
information, call 1-800-724-0309 or visit NYPA on the Web at
www.nypa.gov .
