Authority Announces Holiday Schedule at Visitors Center

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NORTH BLENHEIM—The New York Power Authority’s
(NYPA) admission-free visitors center at the Blenheim-Gilboa Pumped
Storage Power Project will be open daily throughout the holiday
season from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., except for Dec. 24, 25, 31 and Jan.
1.
The center, housed in a refurbished 19th-century
dairy barn, features interactive exhibits on such subjects as
electricity production, operation of the Blenheim-Gilboa project and
energy efficiency. Visitors can also enjoy the more than 15
evergreens decorated in a variety of holiday themes at the fifth
annual Festival of Trees, which continues at the visitors center
through Jan. 2 of next year.
After the holidays, the center will resume its
normal seven-day-a-week operation.
The visitors center is located on Route 30, 17
miles south of Middleburgh and five miles north of Grand Gorge. For
