New York Power Authority to Play Host For
Annual D.A.R.E. Car Show

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NORTH BLENHEIM—The New York Power Authority will
host the 13th annual D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) car
show on Sunday, June 10, on the grounds of the Blenheim-Gilboa
Pumped Storage Power Project’s Visitors Center. The event is
scheduled from noon to 4:00 p.m.
Among the cars on display will be NASCAR champion
Matt Kenseth’s Ford Fusion (famed no. 17), owned and engineered by
the legendary Jack Roush. The car competed for the coveted NEXTEL
Cup in three seasons and is the first NASCAR entrant to be featured
at the D.A.R.E. car show. In addition, there will be hundreds of
classic cars and trucks on display and awards for top vehicles in
class. Food vendors and family entertainment will also be
available.
The D.A.R.E. car show is open to classic cars and
trucks, antiques, customs, street machines and rods. Registration is
$10 per vehicle, starting at 8 a.m.
