Holiday Schedule Set for NYPA

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
LEWISTON—The Power Vista, the admission-free
visitors center at the New York Power Authority’s Niagara Power
Project, will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. throughout the
holiday season, except for Dec. 24 and 25 and Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.
A new program, Jeopardy, will test visitors’ trivia
knowledge and help them to learn more about energy and electricity.
The program is available daily at 10:30 a.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Another prime attraction for the entire family is
the Basics of Electricity program, which provides a “hair raising”
experience on the Van de Graaf generator. Shows are offered daily
at 9:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
The Power Vista features more than 50 interactive
exhibits on electricity, technology, Niagara Frontier history and
more. The center also offers free programs for students from
pre-kindergarten through grade 12.
