FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
LEWISTON—The Power Vista, the visitors center at
the New York Power Authority’s (NYPA) Niagara Power Project, will
hold its annual “Halloween Spooktacular” on Saturday, Oct. 28 from
10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
A free trolley service will be available throughout
the day, courtesy of the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation
and Historic Preservation, between the Niagara Gorge Discovery
Center and the Power Vista.
“Halloween Spooktacular” at the Power Vista will
feature face painting, mask making and ghoulish ghost story readings
by the Niagara University Future Teachers Association. There will
also be free pumpkins and a costume contest from 11:30 a.m. to 1
p.m. Another highlight will be a visit to a haunted house hosted by
students from Eastern Niagara County who are members of the Lockport
YMCA Future Leaders.
This day of entertainment is planned for all ages.
Twice the Halloween fun will be provided as the Power Vista and
Discovery Center team up for the occasion.
At the Power Vista, staff members will accept
donations of disposable diapers and baby toiletries for the Center
of Joy.
