Lines Receives First Fleet of Electric Airport Ground-Support

Clean Air Communities (CAC), through its Queens
Clean Air Project (QCAP), Delta Air Lines and the New York Power
Authority (NYPA) today unveiled the region’s first fleet of electric
airport ground-support equipment on October 17 at the historic
Marine Air Terminal at La Guardia Airport which is located in Queens
and operated by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. This
project will enable the Delta Air Lines to replace the diesel
equipment servicing the Delta Shuttle with fast-charging electric
ground equipment, thereby reducing emissions by 19.2 tons per year.

project.
