NYPA History Video Scheduled for Cablevision

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WHITE PLAINS—A video depicting the history of the
New York Power Authority (NYPA) will be available on Cablevision’s
Channel 76 in the White Plains area at 6 p.m. on Wednesday Oct. 4,
l1 18 and 25.
The video, produced to mark the Power Authority’s
75th anniversary this year and titled “Bold Dream…Shining Legacy,”
includes extensive coverage of events leading to the Power
Authority’s founding in 1931 and goes on to trace its growth into
the nation’s largest state-owned electric utility.
NYPA supplies economical electricity to most
government facilities in Westchester County and to a number of the
county’s businesses. It has also implemented energy efficiency
projects at about 225 schools and other public facilities in the
county. The Authority’s administrative offices are in downtown
White Plains.
