August 21, 2006

NORTH BLENHEIM—The New York Power Authority will host its 21st annual Wildlife Festival on the grounds of the Blenheim-Gilboa Visitors Center, Saturday, Sept. 23 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This year’s Festival will, for the first time, feature an Energy Expo, providing tips on how to conserve energy and lower utility bills.   Both the Wildlife Festival and Energy Expo are admission-free.

The Wildlife Festival will feature a variety of animals, wildlife presentations, petting zoos, live music, demonstrations, arts and crafts and more.

At the Energy Expo, visitors can learn how to reduce energy use from professionals and from vendors offering energy-efficient goods and services. Information on low-cost financing to install energy-saving products in homes and businesses will be available.

Providers or vendors of energy efficient products or services who are interested in exhibiting at the Energy Expo should contact Steve Ramsey, New York Power Authority, at 1-800-724-0309 or steve.ramsey@nypa.gov.
