Classic Cars To Be On View at
Hawkins Point Center

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
MASSENA—The Massena Olde Car Club will showcase
some of its members’ cars from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July
29 at a Classic Car Cruise-in at the Hawkins Point Visitors Center
of the New York Power Authority’s St. Lawrence-Franklin D. Roosevelt
Power Project.
Those attending the
admission-free event will have an opportunity to vote for the
Spectators Choice Award, selecting their favorite vintage car.
Ample parking will be available.
The $5 million Visitors Center, also
admission-free, will be open as usual from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.,
providing an array of hands-on exhibits and displays on Water Power
and the St. Lawrence-FDR Project, Basics of Electricity, Uses of
Electricity and other energy and environmental topics. A panoramic
view of the power dam is available from Hawkins Point.
DIRECTIONS: From Massena: Take State Route 37
east to Route 131 (across from St. Lawrence Centre Mall), turn left
and proceed through the Eisenhower Lock tunnel. Then take the
second right onto Robinson Bay Road and continue for two miles.
Turn left onto Hawkins Point Road and follow the entrance road to
the Visitors Center.
