Oneida County Envirothon

NEWS ADVISORY
The Oneida County Envirothon – an environmental
competition among high school students – will be held Wednesday, May
10, at Verona Beach State Park, with the New York Power Authority
and the Oneida County Soil and Water Conservation District as
sponsors.
Teams representing schools in Camden, Clinton, New
Hartford, Oriskany, Proctor, Waterville and Whitesboro, as well as
the Oneida County BOCES, will test their skills in a variety of
environmental areas.
This year’s competition will include the
presentation of the fourth annual Doug Pens Envirothon Volunteer of
the Year Award to an ardent supporter of the Envirothon. There will
be numerous photo opportunities.
