Opportunity: New York Power Authority Visitors Center to Host War in
"Schohary"

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The New York Power Authority’s Blenheim-Gilboa
Power Project Visitors Center will host more than 300 “soldiers” and
“civilians” on May 6 and 7 for a demonstration of 18th-century life
and warfare in the Schoharie Valley, then known as “Schohary.”
The program on the Visitors Center grounds will
include simulated Revolutionary War battles by authentically dressed
troops, treatment of “wounded” soldiers, discussion of local
politics, a ladies’ tea, a country dance, an ecumenical worship
service and more.
The all-day program begins at 9 a.m. each day.
