Photo Opportunity: New York Power Authority To Host Capital
Region Envirothon Competition

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NORTH BLENHEIM – The New York Power Authority’s
Blenheim-Gilboa Visitors Center will host the annual Capital Region
Envirothon Competition on Thursday, April 27, 2006. The Envirothon
is a hands-on, outdoor competition that tests high school students’
knowledge in the subjects of aquatics, soils, forestry, wildlife and
a current issue. Twelve teams representing Schoharie, Schenectady
and Albany counties will compete in this year’s event. The winning
team will advance to the New York State Competition to be held on
May 24-25 at SUNY Oswego. The New York Power Authority will also
co-sponsor the State Envirothon’s environmental education efforts.
