Angela D. Graves (second from right), deputy secretary
of the New York Power Authority (NYPA) and a Queens resident, was one of
the honorees on Feb. 7 at an event hosted by Governor George E. Pataki
at the New York State Museum in Albany to kick off the state’s 11th
Annual African-American History Month celebration. Graves, who lives in
St. Albans, is NYPA’s 2006 Black Achiever in Industry, for her role in
heading the NYPA Secretary’s Office. With Graves and the governor are
James H. Harding Jr., director of Legal Affairs, Office of Legislative
Intergovernmental Affairs, and Michelle C. Donaldson, Commissioner, New
York State Division of Human Rights.
