News Advisory: NYPA to Present Ceremonial Checks to Niagara Power Coalition

The New York Power Authority (NYPA) will present ceremonial checks Tuesday for a total of $8 million representing the up-front portion of a 50-year agreement with the Niagara Power Coalition for the relicensing of the Authorityís Niagara Power Project. The checks will be presented at the Power Vista, the Niagara Power Projectís Visitorsí Center, to the seven coalition members: the Niagara Falls City School District, the City of Niagara Falls, the Lewiston-Porter Central School District, the Town of Lewiston, the Niagara Wheatfield Central School District, the Town of Niagara, and Niagara County.
